My only question is about the yarn I can use here in the States. I cannot find a DK yarn in the colors want (gold and purple). I have either Lyon Brand 24/7 100% cotton #4 or Big Twist #4 yarn. Which is my best option? I purchased the pattern on Etsy, and combine with this tutorial, these booties should come together nicely. I simply need help with what yarn I should use. THANK YOU!

Hi I purchased the pattern yesterday. I would like to make it larger than a 2x for my MIL who is in a nursing home and in a wheelchair. I want to make her a looser 3x. If I use a bulky yarn would I make the size 1x or 2x so it could fit a size 3x woman. I am confused how to size it. Thank you!
